Winter Reading Program
Epic Reads for Epic Wings!

Our friends at Epic Wings are joining us for the Library’s annual winter reading program, offering epic prizes to encourage you to meet your reading goals.

Download the READsquared app or sign-up at your branch starting on Mon, Nov. 29! The more you read, the more chances you'll get to win meal vouchers for free single pizza sticks or epic fries from Epic Wings in Anaheim

Each book logged or activity completed on the READsquared app also earns a raffle entry for a chance to win the grand prize...Apple Airpods!

Supplies: Instant pudding mix, powdered milk, water, quart-sized zip lock bags, measuring spoons, measuring cup, and dried fruit.

Learn all about creating your own boba at home with some fun food science with Ms. Ly.

Supplies: Agar agar, colored water or fun juices, oil, clear heat resistant cups, clear cup for cold oil, and pipets.

Arab Americans: History, Culture, and Contributions Exhibition
AHLAN WA SAHLAN (Wel

The Anaheim Public Library will celebrate the opening of our "Ahlan Wa Sahlan" Pan-Arabic Celebration with the unveiling of the Arab American National Museum's (AANM) traveling exhibition. The exhibition, 'Arab Americans: History, Culture, and Contributions,' illustrates how Arab Americans have been an integral part of American society for more than 125 years.Kick off the month-long celebration by enjoying the exhibition, live Arabic music, and desserts with Haskett Branch on Tuesday, November 9 at 5:30 p.m.

Browse a sampling of programs below and enjoy an entire month of cultural programs for all ages through December 16. 

Family Storytime

Haskett Branch will host a 5-week storytime program in Arabic and English with storyteller, Oruba Rabie. Explore Arabic culture through stories, music, and crafts.

Participants will learn about the history of Arab and Muslim contributions to the world we live in! Raheela Maniar is a professor in the Foreign Languages Department at the University of California, Irvine.

Arabic Game Night with Dania Alkhouli

Tues, Nov. 23 at 5:30 p.m. at Haskett

Join us as we play classic Arabic games such as barjees, dama,
tawleh, and mancala with Dania Alkhouli from 'A Country Called Syria.' All are welcome and refreshments will be provided.
