New Library App Available 
on Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2021
Download the new and improved Anaheim Public Library app on Wednesday, Jan. 6!

Library users can manage their account, keep track of reading history, renew books, place holds, and much more ― right from their device.

Explore new features like entering your library card number into the app to create a Digital Library Card that can be scanned from a distance for contactless in-person checkouts at Central Library, Canyon Hills Branch or Haskett Branch.

Available in the App Store or Google Play Store on Jan. 6. Search for Anaheim Library, and enter in your Library Card Number 
and PIN.

STEAM on the Go! Kits
The STEAM on the Go! Program is designed for kids, teens and families to explore a variety of STEAM Subjects. STEAM stands for science, technology, engineering, the arts, and math.

Each kit will allow you to dig deep into science and art concepts and complete hands-on experiments and projects. 


Kits are requestable from the Anaheim Public Library’s catalog or by calling your neighborhood Anaheim Library!

Funded by the California State Library's Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA) grant, NASA @ My Library, Anaheim Public Library Foundation, Kiwanis Club of Greater Anaheim, Friends of the Anaheim Public Library and Friends of the Canyon Hills Public Library.

Memory Kits
Memory Kits are intended to support families, caregivers, and those experiencing Dementia and Alzheimer’s disease. Research indicates that interactive and multi-sensory materials promote positive results in these families.

We offer three types of kits for families which include a variety of activities:
  • Reminiscing Kits: music and movies focusing on the 40s, 50s, or 60s
  • Memory Kits: games, toys, and activities to stimulate conversation
  • Informational Kit: designed for caregivers (Bilingual/Spanish)

Invisible Ink Program
Make your own Invisible Ink

Have you ever wanted to send a secret message? Learn how to make Invisible Ink and send your very own secret message to a friend!

For this program you will need water, lemon or lemon juice, and iron (with parental supervision). 

You will also need thick paper, measuring spoons, 3 cups or small bowls, spoon, 
q-tips or small paintbrush, newspaper or cardboard, and paper towels. 

Make Your Own Snow Program
Make your own Snow

Do you wish it snowed in Anaheim? Create your own snow with just a few easy steps.

For this program you will need 3 cups of baking soda, 1/2 cup of white hair conditioner, plastic container, large baking sheet or tablecloth for the play area.

You will also need beads, toothpicks, ribbon and craft eyes to make a snowman.

Do you ever make wishes? Create a Star Jar and captures your wishes in this engaging activity connecting imagination with STEAM! 

For this program you will need paper, scissors and a jar or container.

Spend an evening hearing haunting stories from mystery author Catriona McPherson and her books, "Strangers at the Gate" and "Scots on the Rocks."

This program is hosted by the Anaheim Public Library Foundation (Tax ID #33-0672558).

Each ticket purchased will earn entries into the raffle for a variety of gift cards
