Cover to Cover Reading Program
Fall into Reading with In-N-Out Burger!

Children between the ages of 4 and 12 who read or listen to five books can receive a certificate for a free hamburger or cheeseburger at any In-N-Out location.

Each child may earn up to three burger certificates during the program from October 4 to November 12.

Check out your fall reads and sign-up at your neighborhood branch!

Experience Anaheim during the Victorian era and learn about our agricultural history! Knowledgeable volunteer docents are available to answer questions about the historic Mother Colony and Woelke-Stoffel Houses, the exhibit in the Carriage House, and the landmark Moreton Bay fig tree.

Dr. April J. Mayes, Associate Professor of History at Pomona College, will explore women’s activism and feminism in the Dominican Republic prior to the nascence of “Las Mariposas” and
Dr. Esther Hernández-Medina, visiting Assistant Professor of Sociology at Pomona College, will examine the legacy of the Mirabal sisters in contemporary Dominican feminism and in the international movement against violence against women.

In this presentation, Dr. Maythee Rojas, Professor of Chicano and Latino Studies at California State University, Long Beach, highlights the impact that the dictatorship had on women and how the Mirabal sisters emerged as leading figures in the country’s political activism even as it ultimately resulted in their demise.

Marco Rosas, dance instructor and choreographer at Passion y Tumbao Dance Studio, brings the two most popular dances of the Dominican Republic, the merengue and bachata, to Anaheim. Please wear comfortable clothing.
