The Best We Could Do
Anaheim Reads 2022

We're still celebrating Anaheim Reads! Keep exploring culture, storytelling, and Vietnam's history with your Anaheim Public Library through March 18. It's all part of the communitywide reading of the memoir "The Best We Could Do" by Thi Bui.

The month-long celebration is made possible by California Humanities and the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) as part of the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021.

STEAM FAIR

Explore hands-on science, technology, engineering, the arts, and math activities at Central Library on Saturday, March 26, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Team members will introduce fun science and art topics, including activities with fossils, 3D printing, tidepools, robotics, bubbleology, and more! Participants will have a chance to learn about these topics from NASA Solar System Ambassadors, California State Parks, OC Animal Care, STEMUP4Youth, Oak Canyon Nature Center, Anaheim Fire & Rescue, and much more.

The first 500 kids at the event will receive a backpack filled with hands-on STEAM activities to take home for more exploration! Thank you to Kaboom!, AbbVie, and the Home Depot in Anaheim for providing backpacks and additional STEAM activities for the event. This is all part of the extension of the library's mission to support lifelong learning and enhance access to free educational resources across Anaheim.

This project was supported in whole or in part-funding provided by the State of California, administered by the California State Library. Thank you to our community support groups, including the Kiwanis Club of Greater Anaheim, Friends of the Anaheim Public Library, Anaheim Public Library Foundation, Achim HaNefesh (Brotherhood Social Justice), NASA @ My Library, Space Science Institute, and Nevada Mineral and Book Company.
